CHECK LIST FOR ALL APPLICATIONS FOR BUSINESS VISAS
To All Applicants,
The Ministry is indeed glad to be of assistance to you with your Business Visa applications. To ensure that
the processing time is shorter, this checklist has been put together to help you furnish the necessary information
and documents required for the processing of your application.
Please note that delays are mostly caused by your failure to provide ALL requisite information and documents.
At present, processing time is 14 working days or less for those applications that have met all requirements.
Central to our decision is the need to identify those individual with the rights skills and money for specified business activities. So too is the need for the applicant to check with us to ensure that your chosen line of business is open for foreign entrepreneurs.

Document Requirements for New Applications:
1. A completed Visa application form:
2. Valid personal passport or copy of relevant passport pages;
3. Authentic Education/Training Certificates or Transcripts – copies need to be certified;
4. Authentic evidence of sufficient funds (in bank (s)) to establish or support the business entity – a minimum capital requirement of TOP$50,000.00 is required. Visa will remain valid while the account is active and business is trading/operating;
5. Evidence that the employing business has a valid business license (business license before visa) or copy of business license;
6. For export oriented business requesting visas for non-citizens, we will consider those that employ locals, provide relevant training for them, and those that provide authentic evidence that the majority of income comes back to the country;
7. Letter of support from relevant government Ministry in which our line of business is under, for example, Tourism, Fisheries etc
8. A Business Plan
9. Evidence that the company has been paying Income Tax for the applicant and / or Consumption Tax Registration Number of the Business or Company;
10. For Foreign Owned Companies, a Foreign Investment Certificate from Industries Division, MLCI

Requirements for Renewals/Extensions
1. All of the above except Nos. 3 and 8
Please note that the Ministry of Labour, Commerce & Industries will need to visit work sites and business to collect necessary information required for decision making
And it would help submitting Company Registration Certificate and current Company Shareholding Structure.
The above checklist is for the purpose of obtaining a letter of support from the Ministry of Labour, Commerce and Industries. The issuance or otherwise of a business visa is at the sole discretion of the Immigration Department.
